Release Policy & Terms
Release Policy
The safety of our birds is important to us, therefore we have adopted the following principles to ensure our birds arrive home safely:
-
Doves are not able to navigate at night. Therefore, the release must be scheduled to allow adequate time to get home before dark. Within the Barnstable County area, this is generally one hour before sunset. We can calculate the latest possible time from your event location, based on the date of your event.
-
We cannot release our doves indoors.
-
We cannot release our doves in inclement weather, such as heavy fog or storms.
-
We cannot ship birds by mail for self-release.
-
We ensure that every event has at least one knowledgeable release coordinator present.
Terms
